Manufacturing Manager

• Oversee and enhance manufacturing processes by applying your extensive machining knowledge and leading the manufacturing team
• Supervise and develop a versatile team proficient in operating a variety of machinery, including manual and CNC equipment
• Collaborate with the VP of Operations to execute strategic tasks and strive for manufacturing excellence

As the Manufacturing Manager, your day is filled with decision-making and leadership to ensure efficient and high-quality production. Your role is pivotal in meeting challenges, such as delivering specialty tooling with a typical 2-week lead time in just 5 days.

You begin by assessing the manufacturing process, collaborating with the Inventory and Scheduling Manager and Manufacturing Technicians to determine the feasibility of expediting production. Together, you strategize ways to accelerate the process, possibly by reallocating resources or approving overtime. Your decision-making extends to working with Purchasing to negotiate terms with vendors, like our heat treat partner, to meet tight deadlines.

Once a plan is in place, you coordinate with Scheduling and Expediting and the Customer Experience team to present viable options to the client. Whether it’s standard delivery or an expedited service, your goal is to meet client needs effectively and efficiently

After finalizing the client’s choice, you oversee the execution of the manufacturing process, ensuring that all work orders are released, and production runs smoothly. Your leadership directly contributes to delivering quality tooling on time, enhancing client satisfaction, and potentially leading to new business opportunities.
