What You’ll Do:

  • Shipping: Ship products to specification with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Receiving: Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Order Fulfillment: Fulfill and audit Sales & Work Orders.
  • Cycle Counts: Conduct scheduled cycle counts of stock locations.
  • Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Organization: Maintain order and cleanliness in all work areas.
  • Inventory Control: Enforce controls to prevent errors and shortages.
  • Cross-Training: Support and learn other team functions as needed.

What’s a typical day like?

Imagine the Customer Experience team receives a phone call from a customer who urgently needs specialty tooling and equipment. Every hour their production is down costs them $100,000 or more. They’re counting on Elliott to deliver.

As the Shipping & Inventory Specialist, you receive a call from Sales with a large, last-minute order that requires special packaging and overnight shipping. You discover an item is out of stock, but you know where to source one quickly from another setup. You coordinate with your team, package the order, and meet the UPS deadline just in time.

The next morning, the customer receives their shipment and gets back into production—saving significant money and stress. Grateful, they call to thank you and begin referring colleagues, creating new opportunities for Elliott.

Every day, you’ll be doing work that really matters. You’ll be maintaining the accuracy of our inventory and ensuring the right products get to the right customers on time.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• PC proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory/shipping software.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Lives within a 45-minute commute of Dayton, OH.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; handle up to 150 lbs with equipment.

• Flexible and willing to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.
