What’s a typical day like?
Imagine a customer urgently needing specialty tooling to finish a critical job. Normally, these parts take two weeks, but the customer asks if we can deliver in one—saving them significant time and money.
The Scheduling Manager confirms we have the materials and turns to the Manufacturing Manager, who brings the request to you, the Manufacturing Technician. It’s 9 a.m., your day is already full, and multiple process steps must begin immediately. Can you deliver?
Within hours, you rally the team to prioritize the order. You review engineering drawings, update routings, and confirm fixtures and tooling are ready. You assist with CNC programming, fine-tuning setups for efficiency, and work side by side with operators to resolve issues and keep production moving.
By the end of the day, the new requirements are seamlessly built into the schedule. Over the next three days, you monitor progress, adjust processes, and ensure rigorous quality checks. The order ships out—two days early.
The customer is thrilled with both the quality and speed. Impressed, they begin referring colleagues at other sites, opening the door to new business opportunities.
Every day, you’ll do work that matters—creating and refining manufacturing processes and tooling solutions that help customers overcome their toughest challenges. You’ll have the opportunity to excel and make a lasting impact.
