Supply Chain Specialist – Dayton, Ohio
Elliott Tool Technologies is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to be part of our growth journey. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving logistics puzzles, and want to be part of a high-performing team, we want to meet you.
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll be:
- Purchasing materials to meet production and customer needs
- Managing inventory levels and stock
- Processing customer repairs and returns
- Coordinating with vendors and evaluating performance
- Resolving shipping delays, lost/damaged items, and exceptions
- Supporting export documentation and compliance
- Collaborating cross-functionally to optimize supply chain performance
What’s a typical day like?
You’re reviewing inventory levels first thing in the morning when a last-minute order comes in from a major customer. One of their critical machines is down, and they need a replacement tool delivered immediately. You quickly confirm inventory, reach out to the
vendor for replenishment, and coordinate with the team to fulfill the order.
Midday, you notice a discrepancy in receipt records and work with Receiving to resolve it before it causes a delay. That afternoon, you track down a delayed international shipment, file a claim with the carrier, and provide export documentation for customs clearance. Before wrapping up, you update the team on successes and challenges and propose a process improvement idea to your manager that could reduce future stockouts.
